The processing responsibility of Røros Metall
Røros Metall, through the CEO, is the data controller for the company’s processing of personal data. Where daily responsibility is delegated, this is stated under each individual point. The delegation only includes the tasks and not the responsibility.
The declaration contains information you are entitled to when information is collected from roroshetta.no and other digital channels we use and general information about how we process personal data.

What is personal data?
Personal data is information that can be linked to a person, such as name, place of residence, telephone number, email address, IP address and organization number.
What information do we collect about you?
Information you have provided to us
This could be your email address, name, home address, etc. Essentially, information that is necessary to provide a service to you or to improve your experience with us. We store the information you provide to us so that you can perform other activities on the website. This information includes, for example, your name and email address.
Information collected automatically about you
This includes information that is automatically stored by cookies and other session tools. For example, your IP address, the language of your browser, your screen resolution, etc. This information is used to improve your customer experience. Insite Media is Røros Metall’s data processor for roroshetta.no and our supplier for the development and maintenance of the website. Ren Røros Digital is our operating supplier for roroshetta.no. Information collected in connection with the operation of the website is stored on separate servers operated by the suppliers.
How we use your personal data
We use your personal data to provide services to you. This includes, for example:

Your personal data is only processed by us at Røros Metall, with the exception of cases that are subject to debt collection. In that case, this information goes to our partner:

We may process your personal data for additional purposes not mentioned here but which are compatible with the original purpose for which the data was collected. To do this, we will ensure that:

How long do we keep your personal data?
We do not store personal data longer and to a greater extent than is necessary to fulfill the purpose of the processing unless required by law, for example through the Accounting Act.
The Accounting Act states that, among other things, this must be kept for at least 5 years:
Documents that form the basis for bookkeeping (incoming invoice, outgoing invoice, bank vouchers, etc.).
Specifications of mandatory accounting reporting (account specification, customer specification, etc.).

Cookies from Google and YouTube
This website uses cookies for Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Fonts to keep statistics on user activity on the website, to load custom fonts and to display content from the video portal YouTube (a Google company). We collect information about you during the checkout process in our WooCommerce online store.
What we collect and store
When you visit our website, we collect:
Products you have viewed: We use this to, for example, show you products you have recently viewed. Location, IP address and browser type: We use this for purposes such as estimating fees and shipping. Shipping address: We ask you to enter this so that, for example, we can estimate shipping before you place an order, and ship your order to you! We also use cookies to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart as you browse our website.
When you purchase from us, we ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, credit card/payment information and optional account information such as username and password. We use this information for, for example:

Members of our team have access to the information you provide to us. For example, both administrators and store managers can access:
- Order information, such as what was purchased, when it was purchased, and where it is to be shipped to; and
- Customer information such as name, email address, and billing and shipping address.
Our staff has access to this information to help fulfill orders, process refunds, and provide you with customer support.
What we share with others
We share information with third-party vendors who help us process orders and provide the online store service; for example —
Payment – Norway only
We accept payments through Kustom (formerly Klarna). When the payment is processed, some of your information will be transferred to Kustom, including information necessary to complete or process the payment, such as the purchase amount and payment information.
When you place an order in the online store with Kustom Checkout (Klarna) as the selected payment method, information about the products in the order (name, price, quantity, SKU) is sent to Kustom. When the purchase is complete, Kustom sends the billing and shipping address back to the online store. This data plus a unique identifier for the purchase is then stored as billing and shipping data in the order in WooCommerce.

Manage cookies

Google is Røros Metall’s provider of web analytics tools, and Google is the data processor for the data collected for web analytics. Røros Metall uses Google Analytics to compile statistics that we use to analyze, improve and further develop www.roroshetta.no. Examples of what the statistics give us answers to include how many people visit the various pages, how long the visit lasts, which websites the users come from and which browsers are used. Search function on roroshetta.no
Information about which search terms users use on this website is stored in a separate database table. The purpose of the storage is to improve our information offering by adapting relevant content. The search terms cannot be linked to personal information about the users, such as an IP address.
E-mail and phone
Røros Metall uses email and telephone as part of its daily work to fulfill its tasks and provide you with good customer service.
Our employees also use email in general dialogue with internal and external contacts. Each individual is responsible for deleting messages that are no longer relevant. Upon resignation, email accounts are deleted, but some relevant emails will normally be transferred to colleagues.
We would like to point out that regular email is unencrypted. We therefore encourage you not to send confidential, sensitive or other confidential information via email.
How we secure your data
We do our best to keep your personal data safe. We use secure protocols such as HTTPS for communication and data transmission on the website. We use anonymization and pseudonymization where practical. We monitor our systems for possible vulnerabilities and attacks.
Although we do our best, we cannot guarantee the security of information 100%. We will do everything we reasonably can to prevent security breaches and to assist the authorities in the event of any breaches.

You also have the right to request that incorrect or incomplete data be corrected, deleted or supplemented. You also have the right to have your data transmitted to other parties upon request. Your request shall be answered free of charge and no later than within 30 days.

You can request access to or deletion of your personal data, as well as the transfer of personal data to other parties, in writing, by e-mail to Røros Metall. We will respond in writing by e-mail.
