Growth and developmentRørosHetta is a brand under Røros Metall, which started as a tinsmith shop in 1946. As the market, demand and management have changed, the company’s focus products and production have also changed. In 1981, we launched our first copper kitchen hood under the RørosHetta brand, and since then, development, creativity, quality and craftsmanship have been the core values of the company.
Through the company’s constant development, this also opens up exciting opportunities for our employees, both through new tasks or new areas of responsibility.
Røros Metall has been a privately owned company of the Augensen family since the beginning. The second generation, Randi and Svein Augensen, took over the management in 1979, and the third generation through their youngest son Håvard Augensen (pictured) in 2015.
In 2026, the Franke Group acquired 100% of the shares in Røros Metall and we are now part of a larger, international and privately owned group, now based in Switzerland. RørosHetta is still an individual brand, with local production in Røros, but with an even larger support system behind it. Håvard Augensen is still involved, now as Commercial Director for RørosHetta and Franke Norden.

Questions & Answers
Who can apply for a job at RørosHetta? We encourage everyone to apply for vacancies with us.
If you want to work with the production of kitchen hoods at the factory, it is an advantage if you already have a certificate in the desired field. Several of our employees have completed their apprenticeship and professional exam as an apprentice at our factory in Røros, and have gone on to permanent employment after completing their apprenticeship.
Relevant experience from a similar industry can compensate for the lack of a certificate.
What does a working day look like for an employee at the factory?aIn production we normally start at 07:00 and end at 15:00. We have two lunch breaks during the day, each 20 minutes long. 09:30–09:50 and 12:10–12:30.
In some areas of the factory we run two shifts; day and evening shifts. The working hours for the day shift are from 07:00–15:00 and the evening shift from 14:00–23:00. Those who work the evening shift have every Friday off. In production it is desirable that everyone takes 4 weeks of continuous summer vacation, and production shuts down completely for three weeks, in connection with the holiday period. The 5th holiday week is used for the Easter and Christmas/New Year holidays.
RørosHetta currently has 1 salesperson responsible for England. We also have several salespeople in Sweden, Denmark and Norway who are now part of an even larger team in Franke Norden.
Our salespeople work to maintain good relationships with our existing and new customers, and are responsible for large geographical areas. They travel a lot by car, bus, train and plane, and handle many customers who should all have an equally good experience of follow-up and care.
Our salespeople participate in customer events, trade fairs, plan and carry out courses and training with our dealers, and assist our Technical Support department with service and complaint cases, when necessary.
It is relatively ordinary, with varying work tasks depending on the individual’s position and areas of responsibility.
Our employees with office space, both in Drammen and in Røros, work Monday–Friday with working hours 08:00–16:00 and a joint lunch at the office.
During periods of high activity, it may occur that our employees contribute extra effort, within the framework of the current provisions of the Working Environment Act on working hours and the working environment.
Depending on the position, it also happens that several of our office employees are traveling to meet colleagues, dealers and suppliers in other countries.
In addition to this, we are happy to operate with a hybrid solution when needed, even though our employees mainly choose to work physically at their office space in Drammen or Røros.
